Spanish actor Manuel Maria Arias Dominguez, better known as Imanol Arias and who stood out in cinema in the 1980's and in the television series 'Anillos de oro', 'Brigada central' and above all 'Cuentame como paso', is seen on Tuesday, September 19, 2023, during the presentation of the play 'Death of a Salesman' ('Muerte de un viajante', in Spanish) at the Infanta Isabel Theater, in Madrid (Spain). After his success in Buenos Aires, the staging of 'Death of a Salesman', one of Arthur Miller's most famous works, directed by Ruben Szuchmacher, adapted by Natalio Grueso and starring Imanol Arias, returns to Madrid (Leon, 1967). The staging tells us the story of Willy Loman, who is a traveling salesman who has given all his effort and his professional career to the company for which he works. His only objective is to give a better life to his family, his wife and his two children, who adore him and to whom he wants to instill the ambition to succeed and progress on the social scale. Arthur Miller's original work received a Pulitzer Prize in 1949, as well as a Tony Award and a New York Critics' Award. Later, it was adapted to film by director Laslo Benedek, receiving four Golden Globes and five Oscar nominations. (Photo by Hugo Ortuño)
