Bangladesh: Exhibition on conservation of graffiti painted on the walls of Chittagong by Md. Zakir Hossain
Alliance française of Chittagong in collaboration with Bisubo Art Organization, has undertaken an archive project to ensure that the murals painted on the walls through graffiti, commemorating the mass movement of students in July, are not lost.
As part of this project, an exhibition called #AWAZ is going on at the Alliance française of Chittagong. The guests at the opening ceremony are Mr. Bruno Lacrampe, Director, Alliance Française Chittagong and Mr. Ahmed Munir, Senior Sub-Editor, The Daily Prothom Alo. Curators of the exhibition are Sharad Das, Nazir Uddin Mahmud and Kauser Haider. Participating artists Kauser Haider, Zakir Hossain, Md Shakawat Hossen, Imran Hossain Khan, Belal Ahmed and Syed Yasser Azam.
The Alliance française of Chittagong has supported the work of photographers in Chittagong and other places of the country in order to keep a collective archive of these remarkable murals.
