Bangladesh: Students lead citywide cleanup, beautification and traffic after the fall of government by Md. Zakir Hossain
After the fall of Sheikh Hasina's government, curious citizens looted and ransacked the city's outskirts. In response, students took responsibility for cleaning, beautifying the area and controlling traffic. Hundreds of students from various educational institutions were seen cleaning the city with hand gloves, brooms, shovels, black polythene bags. Besides, the students cleaned the walls of the city and painted various paintings on the walls to beautify the city.
Students said, the country is theirs, it is their duty to protect it.
