Athens, capital of Greece found itself in a rural cordon with dozens of tractors flooding the Syntagma square, outside the parliament, for the rural rally, which ended around 20:45. An estimated of 6,500 to 7,000 farmers and over 200 tractors participated in the rally. The participation exceeded the expectations of the farmers.
The main demands of the farmers, were tax-free agricultural oil, cheap agricultural electricity, the suppression of Greekization of products, the subsidy for the purchase of fertilizers, animal feed and agricultural supplies, as well as the revision of the Common Agricultural Policy.
