Ladakh never disappoints people in terms of its landscape, and is also famous for its orchards scenic beauty and bactrian camels, known as the Mongolian camels of nubra valley as well. This valley is in the northern part of Indian Jammu and Kashmir. Nubra valley is almost 150 kms from Leh Ladakh, and is often called the orchard of Ladakh. it was originally called Ldumra according to the records. Which means the valley of flowers. This is actually a sand desert between the two regions, "Diskit and Hundar". Tourists come to nubra only to watch the sand dunes and Bactrian camels ride besides that tourists also witness stargazing at night. These Bactrian camel has pair of humps, unlike the camels which can be found in rajhisthan .These Bactrian camels can only be seen in Hundar. Bactrain camels were the main source of transportation when leh Ladakh was an important route to the past trade with Central Asia.
