'Tosca', Puccini's universal classic (1889) presented by Emiliano Suarez, has an exceptional cast led by the extraordinary Ukrainian soprano Irina Avramenko, accompanied by Shalva Mukeira and Manuel Mas, under the musical direction of Jose Ramon Martin Diaz. Suarez proposes a 'Tosca' set in the last years of the Franco dictatorship, with a protagonist in the purest Ava Gardner style and a Cavaradossi, an anarchist painter inspired by the image of Pablo Picasso, who will be persecuted and mistreated by the brutal police repression of the regime embodied in the figure of Lieutenant Scarpia. Irina Avramenko, was born in Ukraine and completed her training as a pianist and singer at the Conservatories from Odessa and Kyiv, she is also a piano and singing teacher and was an alumni of the Center de Perfectionament del Palau de les Arts (Valencia, Spain).
