Italy: Disposal of old public telephone booths by Pasquale Senatore
Throughout the city of Salerno, as well as throughout the Italian national territory in recent weeks the TIM (TIM is an Italian brand of Telecom Italia active in the mobile and fixed telephony sector. It was the first operator to consolidate in the Italian market and one of the first at European level in this field, originally with the analog system TACS) has started the disposal of almost all the old public telephone booths, fallen into disuse in recent years due to the strong presence of mobile phones. The removal was announced through the appropriate signs placed on the booths and will be completed by the end of 2023 with the removal of about fifteen thousand installations of public telephone booths.
