Rome: Visit to the small lake of Eur by Patrizia Cortellessa
The Little Lake of Eur is an artificial lake that is part of the Central Park of Eur, a green area that is home to a very rich quantity and variety of plant and animals. Designed by architect Marcello Piacentini and envisioned by the original design of the 1942 World's Fair, it was not finished until after the war, on the occasion of the 1960 Rome Olympics. The surface area of the lake is 85,120 square meters and the maximum depth is about three meters.
