Islamabad, Pakistan May 29, 2023 The leader of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Swabi, Irshad Khan, speaking to journalists, has announced that he will leave PTI, saying that he will not join any party that promotes abuse and intolerance, on May 9. The events were very inappropriate and sad, the hearts of the entire nation are saddened by the desecration of the statues of the martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the country and the nation. Irshad Khan, while holding a press conference at the National Press Club Islamabad, further said that when he joined the party three and a half years ago, he had convinced the senior leadership that he should tolerate the opponents instead of insulting and accusing them. The way PTI takes Maulana Fazlur Rehman's name is very inappropriate and uncivilized. If people like Barrister Ali Zafar were in the party, they would not have to face these situations, that's why join PTI. I have not participated in any meeting of the party, I am an ideological person and answerable to Allah Almighty, I cannot be a part of any party that does not have ethics and respect for opponents, therefore I resign from the basic membership of PTI from today.
