Cyclone Mokha has hit Myanmar hard. A part of its center passed over the island of St. Martin in Bangladesh. But coming from the sea to the ground, Mokha becomes much weaker. Due to this, there was no major damage.
Cox's Bazar district administration had taken all kinds of preparations to deal with cyclone Mokha. Residents of the coastal areas were moved to shelters due to the fear of strong storm. Among them, there are more residents of Cox's Bazar's Nazirartek, Samitypara, Maheshkhali's Dhalghata, Sonadia, Gharibhanga and Qutubjom, Teknaf's Baharchhara, Shahpari Island and St. Martin Island.
