A fire broke out in an old tire godown in Dewanhat area of Chittagong city. On Saturday (April 29, 2023) at 12:30 noon, a fire broke out in the godown in Postar Par area under the Dewan Hut over bridge. Panic spread around due to the intensity of the fire. Coils of fire and black smoke rise far above. After about an hour and a half, the fire came under control. After the fire was brought under control, train movement was normalized. 12 units of fire service worked to control the fire. Due to the fire, train movement from Chittagong station was stopped as a precaution.
