The Fountain of the Goddess Rome on the Capitol has been returned to the city, completely restored thanks to the work directed by the Capitoline Superintendency and made possible by the generous contribution of the fashion maison Laura Biagiotti, with Intesa Sanpaolo. This is one of the most evocative and representative fountains in the capital, built during the pontificate of Sixtus V (1585-1590) and inserted in the facade of Palazzo Senatorio in Piazza del Campidoglio, at the base of the staircase leading to the Council Chamber, completing Michelangelo's design of the Capitoline piazza in Rome.
