Pagani, Salerno, Italy - April 14, 2023: During the days of the feast of the Madonna delle Galline , in the historic center and around the Sanctuary of the Madonna, dances are held to the sound of chestnuts and tammorre. In the alleys of the old town the elderly women prepare the food of the festival : noodles, roasted artichokes and other typical products of the festival. Young people linked to tradition prepare in their homes the so-called "Tosello", small corner of the house with the statue of the Madonna and the products of the earth that are offered to the passage in procession of the statue of the Madonna.
