Moderate to heavy rains lashed plains of Jammu and Kashmir while upper reaches experienced a fresh snowfall resulting in drop in the temperature on Wednesday, officials said.
The Meteorological Department predicted intermittent light to moderate rain at most places of Kashmir & at scattered places of Jammu today with significant decrease from today evening.
It said intermittent light to moderate rain at scattered places can occur from April 20-22 and thereafter the weather mainly will remain dry till April 25.The plains of Kashmir valley including Srinagar experienced heavy to moderate intermittent rainfall disrupting normal activities on the eve of Eid-ul-Fitr likely to be celebrated on Friday or Saturday, depending upon the appearance of crescent.
