Opium is also a major crop of Pratapgarh, there are 6,781 licence holder farmers in the district. Opium Flowers start coming from the plant within 100 to 115 days of poppy sowing. After this, doda starts coming out from the flowers in 15 to 20 days. An incision is made on this dode. After making an incision, a fluid comes out of it. Keep in mind that this process should be completed before the sun rises. This process is followed until the liquid coming out of the crop stops. When all the liquid comes out from the dode, then the seeds are taken out from inside it. And this use is later used in the form of medicine.
