Two local trains collide sideways at the Sealdah station in Kolkata on Wednesday near the car shed. However, no casualties have been reported so far.
According to Chief Public Relations Officer (CPRO), one of the local trains was moving towards the car shed from platform no 6 and another Ranaghat local train was entering the Sealdah station when the collision happened. A huge crowd was seen walking on the railway tracks after the incident.The trains collided sidewise and brushed each other. Due to the accident, the train services were affected at the Sealdah station.
The train services are completely stopped in Sealdah and the restoration and maintenance work has already started.
