Animal lovers and activists who came together with the call of the Animal Rights Federation in Izmir, protested the animal massacres in Turkey. Video footage that contains graphic image of an officer worker in an animal shelter belonging to Konya Metropolitan Municipality, torturing and killing a dog in the shelter, appeared on social media on November 24 and caused reactions all over Turkey. An investigation was launched after the footage that caused indignation. Two people were detained and arrested as a result of the investigation.
