The theme of Ahiritola Sarbojanin Durgotsava Samiti is Akashvani. The main purpose of choosing this theme is to introduce radio and gramophone to the present generation. In front of the mandap there is a huge gramophone that is 30-feet high and 20-feet wide. The gramophone might make the smartphone generation think of old-time music. On the other hand, the mandap is being made in the shape of a radio, with a record player inside.Lost VCDs and DVDs are being used to decorate the booths. The walls on both sides will have pictures of legendary artists. There are pictures of Asha Bhosle, Lata Mangeshkar, RD Burman, SD Burman, Mukesh, Rafi and Kishore Kumar. All the timeless songs of the legendary artists will be played in the pavilion.
