India: Jain Diksha procession in Rajasthan by Sumit Saraswat
Jain sadhus (monks) and sadhvis (nuns) along with members of Jain community during a religious procession before Diksha rituals in Beawar. 75 members including 10 children of millionaire families will leave the social world and take 'Diksha'. Jainism is an Indian religion with some six million followers that focuses on non-violence towards all living beings, and an emphasis of non-possessiveness in order to relinquish attachments to material possessions.
