Potholes and broken sidewalks are a blight on the city, an eyesore and a liability when we are about to host World Cup matches next year and the Olympics in 2028. By law, the city of Los Angeles must balance its budget every year. The current proposal represents a dystopian nightmare for our streets, sidewalks and public transportation system. The mayor’s budget cuts could make our streets even worse.
