45-year-old mathematics teacher Bilal Ahmad Mir introduces India's first high-tech solar car 'RAY' in Srinagar, India-administered state of Jammu and Kashmir on February 10, 2025. Bilal has become the first person to develop this solar powered car. He stated that he began working on this project in 2012 with the first prototype unveiled in 2022, he further added spending more than 20 lakh rupees and naming this car 'Ray' inspired by the mathematical concept where a ray has a starting point but no end. The car will be manufactured by the major Indian company with plans to launch it by June 2025.
