India: Celebrating Ram Navami with Faith and Procession

Hindu devotees hold the idol of Lord Ram while take part during Ram Navami rally. This festival that celebrates the birthday of Lord Rama, the seventh avatar of the deity Vishnu. Ram Navami celebrations have turned into a political battleground in recent years. This year the Calcutta high court granted permission to take out Ram Navami processions while imposing certain conditions.
