Silent protest for the deadly train collision at Tempi

Dimitrios Karvountzis

Crowds have gathered in central Athens today in a silent protest over the deadly train collision in Tempi. People of all ages with candles, black balloons and banners that ask: "What is the cost of human life", present the march, as a small sign of mourning for the victims of the tragedy. Hundreds of citizens are at the Syntagma, who, with many lit candles, have formed the phrase "Take me when you arrive" on the street, outside the Parliament. A phrase of affection that now spreads so much pain to everyone, after the train collision in Tempe.
