A heatwave is sweeping across Bangladesh, including the capital city Dhaka. The Meteorological Department has issued a heat alert, warning people of the dangers of extreme heat. Temperatures have soared to over 42 degrees Celsius in some parts of the country. This has led to a number of health problems, including heatstroke and dehydration, all educational institutions in the country closed for 7 days.
Amidst the ongoing heatwave, a group of children have taken to the water in the hope of cooling down, despite the health risks. The heatwave is expected to continue for several days. People are advised to stay hydrated, avoid strenuous activity during the hottest part of the day, and wear loose-fitting clothing.
