India: Local mosque hosts open biggest iftar event in Kashmir by Mubashir Hassan
Local mosque members preparing food for people to them break their fast, outside a mosque during holy month of Ramadan. Masjid-e-Bilal (RDA) in Srinagar has become a beacon of generosity, offering Iftar to more than 700 individuals daily during the sacred month of Ramadan.
An estimated 800-1000 people come to Srinagar's Bilal Masjid on a daily basis to break their fast during the ongoing holy month of Ramadan.
The details said an estimated 1000 people throng Srinagar's Bilal Masjid on a daily basis in the month of Ramadan for ‘Iftiyari’.
A Masjid Committee member said that they have been organizing this Iftar majlis since 2012, and people come here in large numbers on a daily basis.
