Spain: 'The last days of Pompeii', the immersive exhibition makes its world premiere in Madrid by Hugo Ortuño
Appearance of the immersive exhibition 'The last days of Pompeii', on Wednesday, September 6, 2023, at the MAD Madrid Digital Arts center, in Madrid (Spain). The exhibition that will have its world premiere on September 8 includes a select collection of original archaeological pieces arrived from Naples; an immersive room (1,200 square meters, considered the largest in Spain) where the visitor will feel first-hand the day-to-day life in the Roman Empire, as well as the catastrophe that arrived in the autumn of 79 A.D. when time stopped at the foot of Vesuvius due to the eruption of the volcano that covered the cities of Pompeii and Herculaneum with ashes; a room dominated by the metaverse and one more virtual reality. 'The last days of Pompeii' combines archeology and historical research with new technologies, through an innovative proposal dedicated to the Italian city that will open to the public this Friday at the MAD Madrid Digital Arts center in Matadero.
