Germany: BMW Berlin Marathon 2021 starts by Simone Kuhlmey
Around 30,000 runners take part in the Berlin Marathon with start and finish at the Brandenburg Gate.
After a two-year break, the Berlin Marathon will take place again. In addition to hobby and recreational runners, around 30,000 participants also start several elite runners. Participants in the 47th Berlin Marathon will run through Berlin on September 26, 2021.
At the Berlin Marathon, Guye Adola wins in 2:05:45 hours ahead of the Kenyan Bethwel Yegon (2:06:14) and Kenenisa Bekele (2:06:47).
In the women’s category, Gotytom Gebreslase beats the favorite and best Hiwot Gibrekidan (2:21:23) in 2:20:09 hours. Philipp Pflieger from Hamburg
ran the marathon in 2:15 hours.
