The Sri Tanjung train (KA) for the Yogyakarta - Banjuwangi route continues its journey from Madiun Station. Public Relations Manager PT. Indonesian Railways / KAI Operational Area (Daop) 7 Madiun Ixfan Hendriwintoko explained that starting February 10, 2021, train travel times will be shorter and some trains will experience changes in their departure schedules. This is because PT. KAI began to apply the 2021 Train Travel Chart (Gapeka) which has been determined through the Decree of the Minister of Transportation of the Republic of Indonesia. One of the benefits that customers can experience in Gapeka 2021 is the efficiency of train travel time. There is an efficiency of passenger train travel time of a total of 5,350 minutes and freight trains of a total of 6,321 minutes. With the implementation of Gapeka 2021, the travel time for passenger and freight trains will be shorter. An example is the Singasari train, the route from Blitar Station to Pasar Senen Station, which is 87 minutes shorter, from the previous 15 hours 10 minutes to 13 hours 43 minutes.
