Napoli: San Gennaro’s miracle didn’t happened by Vincenzo Noletto
Every year, three times a year, the miracle of San Gennaro repeats itself: the blood of the saint, contained in an relic, passes from the solid state to being liquid.
When blood has not been dissolved, the Neapolitans have suffered serious problems. Blood did not dissolve, for example, in September 1939 and 1940 in line with the beginning of World War II and Italy’s entry into conflict.
The same happened in September 1943, the date of the Nazi occupation in September 1973, the period of cholera spread in Naples in September 1980, the year of the earthquake in Campania and December 2016, a few months before the tragic and repeated fires on the Vesuvio and earthquake in Ischia.
