Kashmir: 1931 Martyrs Day observed amid curfew by Muzamil Mattoo
Martyr's Day is held in Kashmir on 13th of July every year to pay the tribute to 23 civilians who were killed in the year 1931 by then Dogra ruler of Kashmir, Maharaja Hari Singh. However, authorities have put curfew in place to stop the people and pro-freedom parties participation in the tribute ceremony fearing Anti-India protests.
