PH: Typhoon Domeng with strong intensity by Robert Oswald Alfiler
The impact of typhoon Domeng has brought severe floods throughout Metro Manila before exited this morning in the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR). With Maximum sustained winds of 90 kph near the center and gustiness of up to 115 kph, The Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) reported.
Tracking effects of tropical typhoons, reported by the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) a total of five (5) incidents of collapsed riprap, flashlood, overflowed spillway, and air mishap were reported in CALABARZON, MIMAROPA, and CARAGA. No casualties have been reported in these incidents. A ten (10) municipal / city suspended classes in CALABARZON, MIMAROPA, and Region VIII due to Typhoon Domeng. A total of 34 barangays in NCR were flooded. Of which floodwaters in 34 barangays have already subsided. Six (6) houses was previously reported as partially damaged. However, based on validation conducted by MDRRMC Rodriguez, Rizal there are no damaged houses in the said municipality. A total of 72 passengers, 2 ships, and 3 motorbancas have been stranded in the ports of Legazpi and Rapu-rapu in connection with TS "Domeng".
