Nepalese celebrates Constitution Day in Nepal by Narayan Maharjan
The government has marked the of Constitution Day by organizing a special program at Nepal Army Pavilion, Tundikhel in the Capital. President Bidhya Devi Bhandari, Vice President Nanda Kishor Pun, Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba and Constituent Assembly chairperson Onsari gharti Magar including ministers, lawmakers and senior leaders of the political parties and other high-level officials participated the ceremony.
On the occasion, a contingent of the Nepal Army presented a guard of honour in respect of the President Bhandari. Symbol of peace-pairs of pigeons were flown by the President Bidhya Devi Bhandari, Vice President Nanda Kishor Pun, Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba and Constituent Assembly chairperson Onsari gharti Magar. A minute of silence was observed in the memory of martyrs who lost their lives in the struggle for democracy and republicanism.
