Lahore: Motorists on their way as smog continues by Rana Sajid Hussain
Motorists on their way as smog continues to engulf in Lahore on November 03, 2018. Smog has once again engulfed Lahore and is expected to stay for a few more days. It is a type of air pollution caused by smoke and fog. The air in Lahore has been polluted with reported 250 microorganisms per cubic metre against the standardised 150 ug/m3. The smog won’t last long as rain is expected to dispel it. According to the Met department, rain is expected on November. Residents of the provincial capital and adjoining areas continue to face health and transportation problems as smog engulfs most parts of the city. Visibility has plunged to 200-300 metres on the Lahore to Pindi Bhattian motorway, as thick smog – an unwanted by-product of fog and pollution continued to persist in the air, disrupting transportation.( Photo by Rana Sajid Hussain/Pacific Press Agency)
