PDEA Distributes Php 189,086,902.00 worth of equipment to enhance operational capability
The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) distributed on June 21, 2018 a worth of 189,086,902.00 equipage, vehicle, computer and forensic equipment to its units to enhance their operational capability.
PDEA Director General Aaron N. Aquino said the agency has set up its units to continuously strengthen the capability and mobility of drug warfare.
To boost the productivity of its personnel, the Agency bought 135 units of computers worth Php 8,257,901.79. The agency also purchased 86 units of a device worth Php 89,791,000.00 to improve the efficiency of digital investigations.
To improve mobility, PDEA acquired 43 units of Toyota Hi-Ace worth Php 61,834,000.00, 20 units of Toyota Vios worth Php 17,275,000.00, and 151 units of Yamaha motorcycles worth Php 11,929,000.00.
Earlier, PDEA distributed firearms, surveillance, protective and office equipment, and motor vehicles to its national and regional offices.
"PDEA has put priority on the modernization of its logistics and capabilities in keeping with President Rodrigo Roa Duterte's order to intensify the war against drugs"' Aquino said.
