Italy: Ara Malikian performed in Turin by Daniela Parra Saiani
Ara Malikian performed at the Colosseo Theater of Turin with "Le increìble gira de violin", ("The unbelievable history of the violin").
Borned in Beirut in 1968 from an Armenian family, since child he shows a great talent, even if lived his childhood under bombardments and the civil war. The violin that he plays today belonged to his grandfather. He didn't know to use it, but thanks to that violin, given by a friend, he could fake to be part of an ensemble that was going on tour and therefore he left the country saving himself. At 12 years, Ara Malikian debuted in Lebanon and to 14 he were casually listened by the manager of orchestra Hans Herber-Jöris that gives him a scholarship of the German government to the Hochschule für Musik und Theater in Hanover, making him become the younger affiliate to the prestigious school. From these first footsteps he has taken the flight planing on important stages.
