Greece: President Nikos Voutsis met Pres. Radev by Dimitrios Karvountzis
In the Balkans' important role in the EU and their role in stability and security in the region, President of Hellenic Parliament Nikos Voutsis has referred to, at the meeting earlier today with the President of the Republic of Bulgaria Rumen Radev.
"We are delighted to welcome President Radev, our friend and neighbor, to Greece in a very serious and critical phase for all of Europe and for our region. Beyond the transnational relations and issues that the President and the delegation will discuss during the official visit, I would like to stress the role that Balkans play in the European Union and in general stability and security in the region in general, "President of Hellenic Parliament Nikos Voutsis said.
Voutsis also spoke of the role played by parliamentary diplomacy in all international organizations, as well as the legitimate democratic institutions of the European Union headed by the European Parliament, which are the main institutions that should have the first say in the course of Europe .
"We also hope to further strengthen the already close and friendly relations between the parliaments of the two countries," Voutsis said, welcoming the President of the Republic of Bulgaria.
