US:New Yorkers call for Energy Efficient Buildings by Erik McGregor
Members of the Climate Works for All coalition, which includes climate justice advocates, labor unions and community-based organizations; joined by several New York City Council Members gathered at the steps of City Hall, Lower Manhattan, NYC on March 16, 2017; to call for mandatory energy efficiency upgrades of large buildings, which are the biggest polluters and greenhouse gas emitters and help the city achieve Mayor de Blasio’s goal of reducing greenhouse gas emissions 80% by 2050. They will also create thousands of good-paying jobs for New Yorkers.
