Howrah, Anant Foundation organized an awareness program for 1500 girl students on the occasion of Menstrual Hygiene Day at Sama Garden premises, Salkia. This program got its name registered in the India Book of Records as well as 1500 girl students participated in a workshop on the same topic. In the program of Menstrual Hygiene Day on May 28, under the joint aegis of Shri Ram Seva Samiti Trust Howrah, awareness session on menstruation, slogan writing and yoga meditation etc. were organized among adolescent girls.On the other hand, Vandana Garg, the convenor of Anant Foundation, talked to the adolescent girls about personal hygiene during menstruation and the use of clean cotton cloth or sanitary napkins and their immersion after using napkins.Due to personal hygiene and use of napkin or clean cloth, infection can be avoided. Wherein it was said that an awareness session was organized on menstruation related to it so that they too can make sense of it and cooperate with their mother, sister and wife in their family. Many dignitaries including Howrah's ADM Devaroti Ghosh Shri Ram Seva Samiti Trust Trustee Shri Roshan Agarwal Rajesh Singh Kishan Bhojak Ajay Narayan Shukla were present on the occasion.
