A heatwave is sweeping across Bangladesh, including the capital city Dhaka. The Meteorological Department has issued a heat alert, warning people of the dangers of extreme heat.
Temperatures have soared to over 42 degrees Celsius in some parts of the country. This has led to a number of health problems, including heatstroke and dehydration.
Heat alert declared for the second time by the Meteorological Department in Dhaka and all over Bangladesh
People are taking shelter from the unbearable heat of the sun and the sweltering heat in whatever way they can. Most of the people who have to go out for work and livelihood are seen drinking sherbet to quench their thirst, trying to shade themselves from the sun with umbrellas, and quenching their thirst with water on the roadside in the scorching sun. Couples stuck in traffic are trying to beat the heat with hand-held fans. In short, people in Dhaka and all over Bangladesh are having a hard time.
The heatwave is expected to continue for several days. People are advised to stay hydrated, avoid strenuous activity during the hottest part of the day, and wear loose-fitting clothing.A heatwave is sweeping across Bangladesh, including the capital city Dhaka.
