Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) releases the party's election manifesto ‘Sankalp Patra-Modi Ki guarantee’ at the party headquarters in New Delhi on Sunday, April 14, 2024. Ahead of the seven-phased Lok Sabha polls that kicks off on April 19, the Bharatiya Janata Party on Sunday released its much awaited manifesto titled ‘Modi Ki Guarantee’ Sankalp Patra with a road map on realizing “Viksit Bharat” by 2047; promise to launch ‘one nation, one election’ and a common electoral roll system and poll pledge with several measures targeted at youth, women, farmers and the poor. Along with Prime Minister Narendra Modi, BJP president JP Nadda, Union Ministers Amit Shah, Rajnath Singh, Nirmala Sitharaman and S Jaishankar were also present at the event.

Kirtipasha Zamindar Bari is located in the village of Kirtipasha, Jhalokathi district. It is estimated to be around a century old. Currently, the house is abandoned and in a dilapidated state. In most cases, only the walls remain, while the floors and ceilings have disappeared. The village is named after Zamindar Kirtinarayan Pasha.
In the early 18th century, Rajaram Sen Gupta of Poragacha, Bikrampur came to Kirtipasha. He obtained a taluck of water bodies and forest land from the then British government for his two sons, Krishna Kumar Sen Gupta and Debicharan Sen Gupta, under the names of Purba Bari and Paschim Bari. Later, these were converted into zamindari houses with 10 ana bigha and 6 ana small shares.
Constructed using chunam surki (a traditional lime-based mortar), the Kirtipasha Zamindar Bari stands as an exceptional testament to the architectural brilliance of a bygone era. However, due to a lack of proper maintenance and care, this centuries-old heritage site faces an imminent threat of demise.
