India: Zydus Cadila's needle-free COVID-19 vaccine 'ZyCoV-D' by Soumyabrata Roy
India's Drugs Controller General of India (DCGI) has granted emergency use approval for Indian pharmaceutical firm Zydus Cadila's needle-free COVID-19 vaccine 'ZyCoV-D' and it will be available in September. It is the world's first plasmid DNA shot against the coronavirus. ZyCoV-D is a three-dose vaccination and the first time adolescents in the age group of 12-18 years will take the vaccine shot in India.
