Indonesia: The JS SAMIDARE warship dock by Kuncoro Widyo Rumpoko
Warship Japan Maritim Self Defense Force, JS SAMIDARE docked for 3 days at the JICT-II Port of Tanjung Priok Port, Jakarta, Wednesday 08/05/2019. This Japanese warship visited Indonesia on its way back to its home country after carrying out an anti-piracy mission in the Gulf of Aden, off the coast of Somalia. JS Samidare is a multipurpose warship designed for quick reactions to attacks from air, surface and submarines. The ship made in 2000 uses an advanced combat system, including, one 76 mm cannon unit, two 20 mm melee weapons systems, two torpedo units, and two patrol helicopter units. JS Samidare will leave for Japan on May 10, 2019.
