Philippines: Marawi City's ground zero by Sherbien Dacalanio
On October 30, 2018, the groundbreaking rites in Marawi’s Ground Zero signal's the start of rehabilitation efforts in the most affected area of the Islamic City. Prior to this, last September 2018, Kambisita 2 allows Ground Zero residents of Marawi City to visit their severely damaged homes. But they are only be able to return and rebuild their homes only on the first quarter of 2020 after all the 27,000 residents (at least 11,000 home owners and the rest classified as “sharers and renters”) had visited and inspected their wrecked houses.
