The Kalianget Port, which is located on Jalan Raya Pelabuhan No.1, Kalianget District, Sumenep, Madura, East Java was a silent witness to the VOC's triumph in Sumenep Madura. The port, which was built since the Dutch East Indies era, is one of the second oldest ports in Sumenep, after the port of Kertasada, Marengan. In the past, this port was functioned as an important means of transportation for the salt industry on Madura Island. At present the Kalianget Port not only serves the distribution of salt products, but is also used as an inter-island transportation facility in the eastern tip of Sumenep and parts of Java.
