Kashmir: Muharram procession foiled by Muzamil Mattoo
Muharram is the Islamic first month and is a month of mourning in remembrance of the martyrdom of Imam Hussein, the grandson of Prophet Mohammed PBUH. Authorities foiled the Muharram processions to prevent any the law and order situation in Srinagar, Indian Administered Kashmir on 19 September 2018. Many Shiite Muslims were also detained as they tried to march through the city center Srinagar, Kashmir.
