Sri Lankan traditional dancers performs during the traditional ritual 'Gammaduwa' ceremony in Nawagamuwa, some 23km from Colombo on Saturday, September 08, 2018. 'Gammaduwa' shanthikarma,is a ritual done by sri lankans to invoke the gods to be safe from sadnesse's and undesirable events of life and tobring peace and prosperity to all humankind and the country,chasing away the evil out of the minds.the ritual is performed only by menfolk from dusk to dawn accompanid by sri lankan traditional drums,flamed fire sticks and full of low country dancing. The central figure in the 'Gammaduwa' is goddess pattini whose symbolic emblem is kept on a special dais in the center.
