Muslims around the world are preparing for the commencement of the Holy month of of Ramadan-ul-Mubarak. of Ramadan-ul-Mubarak is the ninth month on the Islamic calendar known as the Hijri calendar. It is a period that the faithful undertake a dawn dusk fasting which primarily entails abstinence from food, drink, marital intimacy and any such prohibitions as instructed by Allah (God). This annual observance is regarded as one of the Five Pillars of Islam.
