According to Bintang Perbowo, President Director of PT Wijaya Karya, a state-owned construction company which runs the project, the construction of Semanggi Interchanges using the Box Girder system (precast) to assemble each part, which is the most advanced bridge development technology that exists today. This technology makes the development process more quickly and efficiently. Since it first began in April 2016 to the present, the project has reached 50%, and is targeted to be launched on August 17 to coincide with the 72nd anniversary of Indonesian independence, and is expected to reduce congestion in the capital up to 40%.
